SUNDAY EQ HOUR | 2026
-
In building a loving, exceptionally healthy, multiplying disciple…a core piece of our vision is to EQuip you as a Christ-follower to live out that mission. One of the core proficiencies we are striving to equip you in…is your Biblical literacy. This means dramatically increasing our knowledge of the Word of God, allowing the love of God to propel us, and living out a life of obedience to the commands of God.

Our EQ Hour classes will be offered beginning Sunday, September 13.

“The Life of Jesus” | Taught by Phil Petersen | 10:30-11:30 AM | Starts Sept. 13
What would it be like to go back and walk with Jesus, listening as he taught the crowds, watching with amazement as he showed God’s miraculous power? Imagine being there when Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come forth!” and then to witness a dead man walking out of the tomb? Or to hear Jesus’ gentle words, “Mary” as he comforted the woman mourning at his empty tomb? The “Great I Am” speaks today and invites us to hear Him, to know Him, to love Him and to follow Him.
Join us for a 12-week deep dive into the life of Jesus. We’ll cover the four eyewitness Gospel accounts to gain a fresh encounter with the Living Christ.
“Marriage on Mission: Building a Strong, Mission-Minded Marriage” | Taught by Hal Baumchen | 10:30-11:30 AM | Starts Sept. 13
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9–10, NIV)
Join us for a 12-week interactive journey through the Marriage on Mission course, built for couples whose marriages are already strong and ready to go even further. Each week we'll ask a simple but powerful question: What could the two of you accomplish together that you'd never pull off separately? Using an interactive app, some good Scripture, and a healthy dose of humor (fair warning), we'll explore what it looks like to build a mission-minded marriage — one that dreams bigger, stays on mission or discovers a new one, and has something left over to inspire and encourage other marriages around you. Come ready to laugh, dream, and leave encouraged for what's next.
“Practicing the Way” | Taught by Julie Zell | 10:30-11:30 AM | Starts Sept. 20
Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer is about intentionally arranging your life around the practices of Jesus so that you can become more like Him. Following Jesus is not just about belief, but about adopting rhythms that reshape your heart over time. At Parkside, we want you to be fully engaged in the life of discipleship. This group will help you better understand the heart of what we mean in our mission of making disciples who make disciples.
