EQ Hour Classes

SUNDAY EQ HOUR | FALL 2025

  • In building a loving, exceptionally healthy, multiplying disciple…a core piece of our vision is to EQuip you as a Christ-follower to live out that mission. One of the core proficiencies we are striving to equip you in…is your Biblical literacy. This means dramatically increasing our knowledge of the Word of God, allowing the love of God to propel us, and living out a life of obedience to the commands of God.

  • Our EQ Hour classes will be offered beginning Sunday, September 14.

  • Jesus in the Old Testament | Phil Petersen

After Jesus' resurrection, he encountered two disciples on the road to Emmaus, just outside of Jerusalem. They were confused by what had taken place. Then Jesus explained the Old Testament, starting with Moses and the prophets to reveal that it all pointed to him. Sometimes we can be confused by the Old Testament. This course will show Jesus throughout the 7 eras of the Old Testament, and how it all points to him. This is a 12-week course with the goal of showing all messianic prophecies, foreshadowing events, the major acts of the Triune God, and how God's promise beginning in Genesis is fulfilled in Jesus the Messiah.

The Goodness of God | Hal Baumchen

This 10-week course invites participants into a life-changing exploration of God's goodness as revealed through Scripture, creation, relationships, blessings, and trials. Each 50-minute session features an engaging presentation, guided group discussion, and a time of biblical reflection and personal application. From the goodness of God in the Garden of Eden to His sustaining presence in times of despair, this course helps participants not only understand God's goodness intellectually but also experience it personally. Together, we’ll examine how God's goodness invites us into deeper relationship, how it remains constant through life’s hardships, and how we are called to respond with trust, gratitude, and obedience. Whether you're looking to strengthen your faith, overcome doubt, or share hope with others, this EQ class is designed to equip and encourage believers to live daily in the reality of God’s unfailing goodness.
