Our nursery serves infant to 3 years old. Nursery care is provided during Sunday morning service hours located next to the Worship Center on our upper level. The nursery provides spiritual education and physical care during the Sunday morning service. The schedule includes table activities, Bible stories, singing, snacks, toy time & an occasional art activity.
Our goal is to be a warm and welcoming face for parents and their children; so that when they walk out the door, they will feel that their child will be and has been extraordinarily cared for. Ultimately, we hope the parents and the children will have a small, but powerful experience of what it would have been like for Jesus to say, “Let the little children come to me” Mark 10:14
Sontown provides a place for 4 year olds through 4th grade to connect with their peers, learn more from the Bible, and be led by caring leaders through activities, songs and games. We follow the TruStory curriculum from David C. Cook in which the children receive the benefits of both large and small group settings.
Sontown starts out in small groups with an activity used to get students thinking about the main concept of the story that week. Next, children join together in a large group setting for singing and hearing that day’s portion of the Big God Story, and then return to their small groups for discussion and response activities.
Parents check in their children at the kiosk located at the main entrance downstairs where they receive nametags and a parent claim ticket for pickup. First time visitors can register their child(ren) by filling out a registration form with the director or greeter.
GLO City is our Wednesday night program for children ages 4 to 4th grade. GLO City meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM. Each night at GLO City, children learn about Jesus through Bible memorization, songs, Bible stories, skits, games and small group time. During small group time, children participate in creative activities that reinforce the Bible story and memory verse. Each evening that your child attends, they will have an opportunity to earn points for their team, which will culminate with a Team Award night at the end of the year.
